How to launch and register your LifeBank USB-key
Connect the LifeBank USB-key to a Mac or PC computer
Locate the USB-key on your computer (titled either USB or LifeBank).
Click on and open it, ignore the folders and choose one of the three bottom icons:
one icon opens the mac version
the other icons open the pc version (32 or 64 bit).
Click the version that will work on your computer and the app will launch.
A screen will now open for you and ask you to register (if you have not done so already).
After you have received an email with your Activation License Key – enter it here (with your name and registered email address).
Read the licence terms.
Click the ‘Agree and submit’ button to activate your data-key.
If you purchased the LifeBank download
You can install the downloaded software to your own USP-key, or directly to your computer or laptop.
You should have received both an email with your Licence Key and an email with a download link.
Download and save the file to any convenient location. This is just an installer application and will download the actual application when run.
Open the file by double clicking or by right clicking and selecting “Run as administrator” or “Open” depending on how your operating system is configured.
Fill in the email address making sure to use the same email address as the Download link was sent to; this is the email your licence key is registered to and other email addresses will be rejected.
Fill in the Licence Key you were sent separately – be careful, if you copy and paste the licence key your email program/operating system may pick up extra “non-printing characters” (like spaces) and the key will not work.
Click on the folder icon next to “Choose Folder” and choose the folder you want the application installed to. If you are installing to a USB this is likely to be the E or F drive but it may be called something else on your computer. If you are installing to your computer hard drive you may want to create a new folder first, just for LifeBank.
Bear in mind that you can only activate the application to one device if you install it to a computer hard drive you will only be able to use it on that computer. If you install it to a USB Key you will be able to plug the Key into any Windows or Apple computer.
Finally when finished click the “Install” button at the bottom of the installer screen and the installer will a show “Percentage Complete” counter.
Please be patient, depending on the speed of your internet connection installation may take from a few seconds to some minutes.
